JFCS Mission

Jewish Family & Children’s Service is a non-profit agency dedicated to providing social and educational services to people of all ages, religions and ethic origins in Southern Arizona. Our goals are to strengthen family life, foster individual self-sufficiency and promote improved social and economic conditions in the Jewish and general community. In devoting ourselves to achievement of these goals, we are guided by the Jewish values of tikkun olam (repairing the world), tzedakah (just and charitable deeds) and chesed (loving kindness).

History
Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Southern Arizona (JFCS) has provided over sixty five years of professional service to metropolitan Tucson and outlying areas within Pima County, and has recently expanded to Santa Cruz County. Although we have grown since our inception in 1941, our vision and mission remain the same. Our commitment to providing quality behavioral health and social services to children, families and adults of all ages continues. We are dedicated to our original non-sectarian vision of promoting individual self-sufficiency and improved social and economic conditions to people of all races, religions and ethnicities.
