 Holocaust Program

The Holocaust Program at JFCS provides services to Southern Arizona Holocaust survivors that generate hope, build resiliency and foster dignity. We are dedicated to providing Advocacy on behalf of Holocaust Survivors.

The Holocaust Program provides a holistic approach in meeting the needs of Pima County’s Holocaust Survivor population. Grounded in the belief that care of the body, mind and spirit are essential for physical and mental well being, the program provides Survivors with case management, group meetings, counseling, emergency assistance funds, assistance with Claims conference applications and Survivor advocacy. In coordination with Tucson’s religious and secular communities, the program seeks to enhance Survivors quality of life, while helping them maintain their independence, dignity and self-respect. Our philosophy, when working with Holocaust Survivors is to respect the past while offering new and positive experiences that will coexist with the old.

The Conference on Material Claims Against Germany provides much-needed housekeeping and respite services to survivors who are unable to perform these tasks alone. Additionally, Holocaust survivors may qualify for government-subsidized programs, or may need additional services to maintain their independence in the home.
