Senior
Care Programs
This program serves
elderly individuals who do not qualify for
government-subsidized programs. Some clients may be
eligible for services on a sliding-fee-scale basis.
Clients served within this program must be over the age
of 60 and disabled.Family Support:
Family Caregiver
Program provides education, support, and referral
services for family caregivers helping Tucson seniors
remain at home. Its primary purpose is to improve the
well being of both the caregiver and the person
receiving care.
Home Care
Assistance:
Older and disabled
persons often have difficulty in keeping up with basic
housekeeping and maintenance. To ensure as many persons
as are able can remain in their own homes, Jewish Family
and Children’s Service offers maintenance-level
housekeeping tasks such as: dusting, cleaning floors,
cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, washing dishes,
changing linens, making beds, and other routine cleaning
chores.
Respite Care:
Additionally, we
provide respite services to family and caregivers of the
elderly and disabled who have the responsibility of
24-hour care giving. These allow them some short-term
relief, within their homes, from their care-giving
responsibilities.
Jewish Clients
Funded by the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona,
this program serves Jewish elderly individuals who do
not qualify for government-subsidized programs. Some
clients may be financially able to pay for services on a
sliding-fee-scale basis. Clients served within this
program must be over the age of 60 and disabled.
