Tax Credit
You can make a Tax Credit
to benefit donation right here on our JFCS website’s
secure server by clicking this link
2011 tax credit donation form, by mailing us a check
payable to JFCS at 4301 E. Fifth Street, Tucson, AZ
85711, or by contacting Marcia Scupin in Resource
Development at 520-795-0300, Ext. 2238. You may reach
Marcia by
email if you have any questions. We will be happy to
mail you a receipt letter for your tax records.
Thanks to the Arizona charitable tax credit law, state
taxpayers now have more incentive to make cash donations
to qualified charitable organizations such as JFCS.
This tax credit for
supporting a non-profit organization that helps the
“working poor” in our community is separate from the
school tax credits you may have heard about. If you
qualify for it, the $200 or $400 credit is available to
you, even if you are also receiving a tax credit for
supporting a public or private school. Keep in mind --
this is not a tax deduction, but a tax credit, which
means your contributions may earn a dollar-for-dollar
tax credit to offset your Arizona income tax obligation.
For tax year 2011, taxpayers filing as single and
unmarried head of household have a maximum credit amount
of $200. Taxpayers who are filing as “married, filing
jointly,” have a maximum credit of $400. Taxpayers who
are filing “married, filing separately,” have a maximum
credit of $200. For more information on the Working Poor
Charitable Tax Credit, go to

supporting JFCS!
