Violence Prevention
Tucson Coalition on
Girls & Violence
This is a community intervention program for girls and
young women between the ages of 8 and 21 with histories
of sexual and/or physical abuse in Pima County, Arizona,
who are victims and/or perpetrators of violence.

Substance Abuse
Embracing Challenges
Creating Opportunities (ECCO)
ECCO provides individual, group and family therapy for
youth ages 13-18 who have issues with substance use and
abuse. ECCO increases youths’ capacity to identify and
manage the sign of risk that will lead to substance use,
and teaches them the skills that will prevent further
use.

Teen Mothers
The Teen Parent Mentor Program serves pregnant and
parenting teens, ages 12-21 who are at risk of increased
poverty and depression. Stable adult mentors provide
emotional support as well as skills building and healthy
role modeling. Through this intergenerational contact,
new teen mothers learn how to cope with parenting and
gain the self-confidence to continue to thrive.

Adolescent Trauma
Child & Adolescent
Traumatic Stress Services Center (CATSS)
CATSS is a trauma-related treatment and counseling
service for children and adolescents and their families,
targeting depression; anxiety; externalizing &
sexualized behaviors; and feelings of shame & mistrust,
as well as improvements in parenting/primary caregiver
practices & skills.
